Chloris the Greek name for Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers was chosen by Gilly Banks the founder of Chloris Ceramic because as she says ‘many of the crystals bloom into flower shapes.’ The designers’ interest in pottery sparked in University of South Wales, by well-regarded ceramicist Billy Adams and later, developed her skills with the help of Lisa Krigel. ‘I am eternally fascinated by the range of colors and the variety of crystal types that can be developed.’ The artist says.
